Communities - The making of

I've mentioned to several people that I'm going to be making three new communities soon. One of them actually requires input from people.

The premise of this one: a claims community, with a list of themes that are "fic clichés". Obviously my list will be limited by the fics I've come across, so I'd appreciate it if loads of people would help me.

Criteria:
-Mustn't be fandom specific, unless it's specific to many fandoms -- e.g. "using potion for lube", which is relevant to Final Fantasy games, Pokémon, etc, etc. If I get many like that, I'll make a separate themes list for them.
-Must be some kind of story cliché -- it doesn't have to be fic.

...And that's it. I have a few myself, and it depends how many contributions I get on how many themes lists I have. Don't worry about submitting something I already have, I'll be sorting things anyway.

Examples:
-Hurt/comfort fic
-Hate turns into love
-Highschool AU
-Vampires
-"I didn't realise I was [insert sexuality here] until you kissed me"

- Mpreg (You really don't have to include this one, but it is a cliche)
- Original Characters
- Locked in a room/storage closet/etc.
- Love triangle

MY FAVOURITE THING EVER EVER EVER: BREAKING UP FIC CLICHES.

Here are some suggestions! (sorry for repeats -- this is part of my MASTER LIST, also used here in part.)

Overall "Story Type" cliches
- Vampires
- Pirates
- High School AU
- Elves
- Mermaids (XDDD PLEASE) have you seen the Quistis is a mermaid fic?
- ___ got sucked into the game (bonus points if you avoid a Mary Sue!)
- ___ gets sent into the past/future and has to work with someone's parents/children
- Taking a vacation!

Romantic Cliches
- AU Rivalry (High school jocks/nerds, Old West sheriff/outlaw,
- X tries to commit suicide and Y saves him/her and/or nurses him/her back to health
- X sleeps with Y once and gets pregnant (bonus for Mpreg!)
- MYSTERIOUS STRANGER


Personal Cliches
- ___ discovers a mysterious power / secret about their past
- ___ and ___ find out they are related!
- ___ finds his/her long-lost sister/brother/mother!

So here are some other random cliches that you can sort into categories on your own because LJ is being tard:

- Rescue mission (X is kidnapped! Can Y save him/her)
- ___ is running away from his/her friends! (Bonus points if you integrate the "Pregnancy" or "Mysterious secrets of my past" cliche!)
- ___ discovers a new power! What does it mean?
- ___ disappeared ## years ago! Now he/she returns/is found. What happened?
- ZOMBIES! (aka Zombie invasion, a la horror movies)
- X and Y are having a secret affair
- Love Triangle (X and Y both have feelings for Z! Z must choose! X and Y must fight it out! But they're also friends!) (Bonus if X and Y end up hooking up!)
- X and Y are forced to work together!

...I'm sure I will come up with more momentarily.
