Yesterday someone on
robinhoodbbc posted
this, with news that one of the characters is going to be a traitor next season. This makes me pout, because I love them all and love the dynamics they've got doing. If the BBC gets it wrong, there will be
hell to pay. Um. Sort of. I will hate them with all the hate not already concentrated on the movie-that-doesn't-really-exist.
Anyway, I've been reading other people's reactions and me and Lisa talked about it quite a lot yesterday, so I'm sort of ready to put my thoughts together on the subject.
( Who would work with Gisborne against Robin? )I'm worried about what the next series will bring, with this, though. Is it going to be an overarching plot? The last season wasn't terribly good with that: most of the plots were self-contained, apart from the romantic subplots. And the idea of having a traitor in the midst is rather serious for a relatively light hearted series. I'm hoping the writers learn to tread lightly with this one and build up to it, rather than bludgeon us with it in one single episode.
