I was really lukewarm about SP to start with because I don't like books--especially YA books--where almost all of the main threats are sexual. But the prospect of "redeeming" the main attempted rapist? Ugh, no thanks.
And I'm not a huge fan of food descriptions, which was pretty much the strong point.
