Notes: The want in this -- from both of them -- is searing, and Dean's hopeless wanting is awful, and the end is -- oh.

Teaser: Castiel knew a few things about little human rituals. The first time he slept with Dean, really slept, not just had intercourse, Dean thought it was terribly important that Castiel wash his face and brush his teeth and take off the rest of his clothes before he lay on the bed; and then in the morning there was more washing and brushing and clothes before Dean took him out for pancakes and sausage. Even the way Dean made his coffee, the number of times he stirred it after he poured in the cream, felt like a ritual to reassure himself that all was well in the world.
Notes: No monsters and such, just the two of them and Sam not doing very much, trying to be quite normal, really.

Teaser: "I will listen," he said, quiet again now in a way that made Dean's skin tighten and his hair rise, "to your grief, your despair. I know your frustration. I have accepted your abuse and your insolence." Dean gripped him by one forearm and one wrist — pointlessly, though Dean wondered what he thought of Dean's forefinger and thumb just touching the back of his hand above his coatsleeve. "But I draw the line at ingratitude. Not after everything we all gave up to bring you here and make you ready." Castiel's fist was like a wrecking ball in his gut. Dean folded up around it and, when Castiel let go of him, collapsed into the dirt again.
Notes: Dean is fucked up. Dean wants to be hurt. Castiel will do it -- with love. This characterisation, this way of seeing them, makes a lot of sense to me. I love the way it is handled.

Teaser: Dean’s been angling carefully for a good, hard fuck all week—nudging Sam in fits and starts, playing the thoughtless tease, flirting with waitresses and witnesses and anyone else he could find with a pulse and a sex drive—but he has been known to miscalculate just how far Sam can be pushed in the past.
Notes: I love fics where Dean needs someone else to have control. This might be apparent by now. This is a take on it with Sam -- a Sam who wants Dean very much and yet is still patient, methodical, careful, loving.

I may have already said this in one of several posts, but FFT has, IMO, the best plot in the franchise, the deepest dialogue, the best characterizations, etc. I can go on and on about that game. Play the retranslated PSP version if you can. :-)
