Ah, the Sandman was my introduction to Gaiman, and my reintroduction to comics. Brilliant goodness. Influenced me for a long, good while.

I agree with much of the art --it's very dated, and very classic 80's, though as you've probably noticed, it does progress through the series, and looks quite different by the last couple.
