One True Pairing Ship: Hmmm. I have no hard and fast opinions when it comes to Firefly shipping -- I'm flexible. Mal/Simon was my first, I think, so it holds a special place.
Canon Ship: Wash/Zoe.
"If this happens I'll stab my eyes out with a spork" Ship: Mal/Inara. I know, I know, contradictory, since I do love it, but... the way they are in canon, I find it hard to imagine it could actually happen. I love some fanfic with it, but...
"You are one sick bastard" Ship: Simon/River.
"I dabble a little" Ship: Simon/Inara. Also, Mal/Simon/Inara. I almost have to write a long development fic for this, because I can see it working so well. Who votes yea?
"It's like a car crash" Ship: Well, um, haha, Mal/Inara?
"Tickles my fancy but not sold just yet" Ship: Jayne/Kaylee. Although I kind of am sold, I just don't know how to write it and might have to just ship from afar.
"Makes no canon sense but why the Hell not" Ship: Inara/River? The trouble is, I can see why most of the pairings might work. I mean, Inara looks after River, you can see River developing attachment, getting one of her weird ideas and poof...
"Everyone else loves it but I just don't feel it" Ship: Simon/Kaylee. I can write it, get little snippets of feeling for it, but it mostly just leaves me cold.
"When all is said and done" Ship: Mal/Simon, probably.

I have found no place in this to mention Mal/River, yet I love that too!
