wilderthan: ((Books) And shoes)

This conclusion to the trilogy uses all the threads from the previous two books and pulls them together. The Chopts, the Lament of Lugas, the hints about vampir, etc. I'm actually pretty impressed by the way almost everything from the stories and background information were relevant in one way or another.

Character-wise, Cliona and Tuan aren't even mentioned in this book, which confirms my feeling that they were more plot device than anything. Most of the others are back, though: Kutor, Owen, Tien, the Andam, Fodla, and so on. I like the touch at the end, the resolution for Paedur.

The big thing that irritates me about the book is the epilogue. It's such a cop out. Just two pages saying this character did this, this character did that. It's wrapped up so well, and then you do that? Kind of spoils it, for me.

Noticed more that irritated me about this trilogy, this time, but also remembered there are reasons why I love it so much.
